哺乳類の受精において雌性生殖路内に射出された精子は多くの障壁を乗り越えて卵まで辿り着かなくてはいけません。精子はこれらの障壁(卵管峡部、卵丘細胞、透明帯)をどのように通過するのか、そのメカニズムを明らかにしたいと考え研究を行っています。
In mammalian fertilization, sperm that are ejaculated in the female reproductive tract must overcome many barriers to reach the egg. I'm interested in the mechanisms that enable sperm to pass through these barriers such as the ithmus, cumulus cells, and zona pellucida.
